The owner has a strong history in maritime for most of his life, hence the crossover in choosing to name his company Spinnaker. The stained glass was used to reference some of the notable windows in her studio while subtly including the aperture as the glow of the candle. They are growing their alumni association and wanted a fun throwback style logo to make the association feel differentiated but still part of the organization. This one was a dip into the world of 3D design and utilizing a new creative software. This show had its world premiere at COCA, and I had the honor to bring the creative vision of the playwright to life. Kaleidoscope Crown, written by Ashleigh Akilah Rucker, tells the inspiring story of a young girl who awakens to a shocking new ability: with every new emotion, her hair transforms into vibrant, multicolor tresses. My first large project was to rebrand the company after having the same logo for over 50 years. We did various projects both at the university and for outside clients. This project was for a program at SLU that was eventually called the Prison Education Program. My logo was selected to be the one for the program. It served as the program aid for those attending the conference in Dallas, which included individuals that had been previously incarcerated and those that were there to help network with them.
